Elephant Apple is a large, greenish yellow, round fruit which has many seeds and is edible. The fruit is a 5-12 cm diameter aggregate of 15 carpels, each carpel containing five seeds embedded in an edible but fibrous pulp.
Elephant apple is a fruit rich in beta-carotene, vitamin B, vitamin C, thiamine, and riboflavin.It does not stop with that it is also rich in carbohydrates and proteins.
